How to Fix the Window on the Driver's Side in the 1994 Toyota Corolla

A broken window in your Toyota Corolla can be a serious security issue as you will no longer be able to secure your vehicle. If your window is damaged, you should replace it as soon as possible. You can purchase a replacement window as well as all the tools you will need to complete the work from your local auto store.

Instructions

    1

Locate the screws attached to the trim around the rubber trim of the window and the rear view wing mirror. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws. Pull the trim from around the window using a trim stick.

    2

Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts that are fixed to the black door plate. Pull the plate away from the door to gain access to the regulator.

    3

Use a hex wrench to remove the hex bolts that fix the window pane to the window regulator. This will free the window within the door frame.

    4

Lift the damaged window from the door frame. Take care not to cut your hand on pieces of glass as you remove the pane.

    5

Insert a new window pane into the door frame. Fix the window in place by attaching the hex bolts between the window and the window regulator. Reattach the door assembly by following the removal steps in reverse.
