Apple unveiled the new iPhone 5 on Wednesday, September 12 at an event in San Francisco and released on September 21, 2012. The iPhone 5 is a touchscreen-based smartphone developed by Apple Inc. The new iPhone is the most radical redesign of Apple‘s flagship product since its inception. It is the sixth generation of the iPhone and succeeds the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 is one of the best smartphones currently available in the market.
The iPhone 5 handset is amazingly thin and light. It has a larger screen, faster processor, LTE connectivity and an improved built-in camera. The iPhone 5 features a larger display, a faster chip, the latest wireless technology, an 8MP iSight camera, and more. It’s all packed into a device that’s even smaller than the previous iPhone 4S.
When held horizontally, the four-inch screen has 16:9 proportions, a perfect fit for HDTV shows and a better fit for movies.
