Thailand uses FM91BKK system based on GPS technology to ease traffic pressure

According to Thailand news website, to ease traffic congestion pressure, the Thai government has launched FM91BKK system based on GPS technology and strived to ease the increasing traffic pressure in the capital of Bangkok. FM91BKK is a mobile applications developed by Thailand's National Electronics and Computer Technology Center. The system collects data through the user's mobile phone GPS and integrates the data for the use of monitoring urban transport.   

In addition, this system can also help monitor criminal activities and help parents understand their children trends. They can even apply for breaking news service and send to users via mobile phone by the radio station. Moreover, this system can also allow motorists and other users to call the police by phone in case of an emergency.

It is reported that this system has attracted about 8,000 users to join in and the upcoming second version is expected to absorb 50000 users.
