From 1962 through 1999 Chevrolet gave all of their trucks a basic name "C" for two-wheel drive and "K" for four-wheel drive, followed by the truck's size. In 1999 Chevrolet released the all-new Silverado alongside the "C" and "K" series of pickups. After the 2000 model year, the Silverado replaced the "C" and "K" pickups altogether. The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had four gasoline engine options available: a 4.3-liter V-6, 4.8-liter V-8, 5.3-liter V-8 and a 6.0-liter V-8. All four engines used an intake air temperature sensor that was integrated with the mass air flow sensor to monitor the temperature of the air going into the combustion chamber. Replacing the IAT sensor involves also replacing the MAF sensor, as they are the same sensor on the 2007 Silverado.
Instructions
- 1

Make certain to line up the tabs on the MAF sensor tube with the notches in the air-filter box. Tighten the clamps to secure the MAF sensor tube to the air-filter box and the intake tube to the MAF sensor tube, using a Phillips screwdriver.
4Plug the wiring harness back into the MAF sensor.
