The Lexus GX470 is the first generation of the Lexus GX series. Introduced in 2002, the GX470 is manufactured by the Toyota Motor Company. A common problem that afflicts the GX470 is that the rear cup holders often get stuck. If this happens to your GX470, it means the securing clip is stuck. You can easily fix the stuck clip with a Phillips screwdriver in under five minutes.

Pull out the cup holder as far as it will go. If it will not go out at all, you will need to pry it out with a trim stick.
2Use the Phillips screwdriver to reach into the cup holder mechanism and press down on the clip.
3Pull the cup holder out and release the clip. You should now be able to push and pull the cup holder as before.
