Before setting up your personal or work email on your Apple iPhone 5, make sure that your phone has internet connection whether through WiFi or mobile data. To setup your email, please follow the steps below.
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Tap Add Account
- Tap on the logo of your email provider
- If its not in the list, choose Other
- Tap on Add Mail Account
- Tap on Name and type in the name you want to appear on the messages you are going to send
- Tap on Email and type in your email address
- Tap on Password and type in your email password
- If your iPhone can't configure your email automatically, it will ask for other details such as incoming and outgoing mail server which you can get from your email service provider.
- Also choose other settings you desire with your email like services you want to turn on or sync with your iPhone, such as calendar and contacts as well as the frequencies that your iPhone will check for new messages.
