In all cars made after 1994, the air conditioning systems are nearly identical, as they all use the R134a air conditioning system. This system is not just environment friendly, it is designed so the average consumer is able to recharge the air conditioning at home. Kits are available to add gas to the air conditioning that do not require any additional tools.
Instructions
- 1
Screw the service hose on top of the can of car air refrigerant.
2Twist the valve on the hose to open the can. Twist the hand the opposite way very slowly to release the pressurized air.
3Connect the other end of the service hose to the air conditioning valve on your vehicle. Keep the can in the upright position. Gas from inside the can slowly moves into the car's air conditioning unit.
4Turn the car on and turn the air conditioning on to its maximum.
5Turn the valve on the hose until it is fully open.
6Disconnect the hose from the car's air conditioning when it reads between 225 and 250 PSI. The air conditioning is fully charged.
