How to Connect a Prosport Boost Gauge in an SRT 4

The SRT 4 is a sports car version of the Dodge Neon. The SRT 4 was manufactured by Dodge from 2003 to 2005. Although the SRT 4 comes equipped with a stock boost gauge, you can install a Prosport Boost Gauge fairly quickly. The Prosport Boost Gauge has a different aesthetic than the stock boost gauge and many people find that its blueish glow enhances the "look" of the SRT 4's interior. The Prosport Boost Gauge is a digital gauge whereas the stock gauge is analog.

Instructions

    1

Open the SRT 4's hood and use a socket wrench to remove the connection to the battery's negative terminal.

    2

Pry the A-pillar cover off of the SRT 4 using a flat-head screwdriver. Use a Phillips screwdriver to uninstall the two screws on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.

    3

Squeeze the electrical connection of the boost gauge to disconnect it and pull the dashboard toward you.

    4

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the boost gauge to the dashboard. Remove the boost gauge and disconnect the vacuum wire.

    5

Connect the vacuum wire to the new boost gauge. Place the Prosport Boost Gauge into the dashboard. Attach the electrical connection to the new boost gauge and reassemble the dashboard and its screws.

    6

Reattach the A-pillar covers and reconnect the battery. Close the SRT 4's hood.
