Fog Light Replacement in a 2007 Dodge Ram

The 2007 Dodge Ram came in three different classes: 1500, 2500 and 3500. The 2007 Ram's engines ranged from a 215-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 in the Ram 1500 to a 350-horsepower, 6.7-liter, in-line six-cylinder engine in the Ram 2500 and 3500. All three classes of the 2007 Ram had front-bumper-mounted fog lights as an available option. Replacing the fog lights on the 2007 Ram is a task that requires only a short amount of time.

Instructions

    1

Raise the front of the Ram with a floor jack. Set jack stands beneath the frame rails under the truck. Lower the truck onto the jack stands.

    2

Crawl under the truck and locate the fog light socket on the rear of the fog light assembly. Twist the fog light socket counterclockwise about a quarter-turn to unlock it and pull it from the fog light assembly.

    3

Press the locking button on the fog light wiring harness and pull the harness from the fog light.

    4

Plug the wiring harness into a new 9006 bulb and listen for it to click into place. Insert the bulb into the rear of the fog light assembly and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.

    5

Raise the Ram off the jack stands and remove the stands from under the truck. Lower the Dodge to the ground.
