Reigning world champions Red Bull have unveiled their new F1 challenger, the RB8. This car is the eight Formula One car to be produced by the team and Adrian Newey has designed it. Like other F1 cars this season, the RB8 also sports the stepped nose albeit with a kind of vent, the function of it which wasn’t revealed at the unveiling.
Team drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will be seen today, putting the car through its laps for the pre-season testing programme at Jerez, Spain. Team principal Christian Holmer said, “I think Formula One is set for an exciting year and at Red Bull Racing our goals and objectives are to try and stay ahead of our rivals and build on the success that we have (had) and build on the lessons that we’ve learned in 2011.”
