Honda's CR-Z, the world's first sporty hybrid has already managed to win three prestigious awards, making it one of the most recognised hybrid two-seaters in recent times.
It was a moment of pride seeing the Tata Indica Vista EVX , bag the Most Economic Small Passenger EV and the Most Economical & Environment Friendly Small Passenger EV under the Small Passenger EV Category at the inaugural RAC (Royal Automobile Club) Brighton to London Future Car Challenge. But competing alongside our indigenous small car was an even smaller dynamite from Japan, which apart from winning the Most Economical and Environment Friendly Sports HEV at Brighton has also become Japan Car of the Year (JCOTY) 2010-11.
We are talking about the Honda CR-Z, which is the Japanese car maker's first sports hybrid coupe to hit the streets. With 11 wins in the prestigious competition, Honda has now become the most successful manufacturer in JCOTY history.

The award-winning run continued as the CR-Z scooped the Eco Gadget of the Year at the Stuff Gadget Awards and won the What Car? Green Awards’ trophy in the Best Sports Car category.
Priced at 11.64 lakh in the UK, the sporty Honda CR-Z brings together a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, six-speed manual gearbox and Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist system to make a car that’s as fun to drive as it is efficient.
