Audi India is looking at further strengthening the Q5 portfolio with the introduction of an all new 2 litre diesel engine.
The Audi Q5 has been doing brisk business in India and to further enhance the product portfolio which currently includes the 2.0 litre petrol and the 3.0 litre diesel engines, Audi India has now ushered in the 2.0 TDI diesel engine as well.
The Audi 2.0 TDI q engine is capable of making 125kW / 170 hp and generates a maximum torque of 350 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. Mated to a 7 speed automatic Stronic transmission, the Q5 2.0 TDI q offers a smooth drive and ample power to still impress. No doubt, it isn't in the league of the larger 3.0 TDI, however one can expect mileage figures to be greatly enhanced as compared to larger engine.
With the addition of this new variant, Audi India is hopeful of garnering an even stronger market demand for this luxury SUV. The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI q is priced at INR 3,905,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra) and deliveries to customers will begin in April 2011.
