The following is the Lexus Navigation DVD System installation guide for all drivers .
Precautions
1. Only the professional installing technicians are allowed to install and maintain this product.
2. Installation or maintenance by the unprofessional people might cause electric shoke or other risks and even damage the unit.
3. In the process of connecting, pay attention to the hook position, don't pull wires forcibly to avoid invalid connection.
4. Please use the attached wire of the system, otherwise the accident of fire or smoke or damage to the unit or vehicle might be caused.
5. Don't cut off any extra wire which is kept for future use, Protect the ends of wire with insulating tape.
6. In order to avoid short circuit, please disconnect the anode of the power accumulator before any connection and installation.
7. Ensure all lines are placed and protected in good condition, don't let them interfere in any moveable parts of the car such as steering wheel, gearlever, brake pedal, sliding chair, door or other parts.
8. The voice is input through AUX, so please ensure audio cable connectes well with the AUX port of the original car audio system.
1. Before Install Lexus Navigation DVD System
2. Remove the decorative trim of gearbox, please note the clips
3. Unplug all the cables
4. After the decorative trim removed
5. Remove the air-conditioner outlet part
6. Remove the dash at the driver's side
7. Take off the screws with M10 screwdriver as shown
8. Remove the dash at the passenger's side
9. Remove the screws with M10 screwdriver
10.T ake off two screws with M10 screwdriver as shown
11. Take out the original unit and disconnect the harnesses at the back
12. After the original parts removed
13. Take apart the left and right bracketsof the original unit
14. Remove the side button parts
15. Take apart the air-condition function panel from the stereo unit
16. Remove the decorative trim from the side button parts and note the clips
17. Take off the wooden piece from the side button parts, you have to remove screws as shown
18. A, B, C and D refers to the original stereo unit, decorate trim, Wooden Pieces and brackets
19. Fix the 2pcs original wooden pieces in right position
20. Fix the original left decorate trim on air-conditioner button control part.
21. Fix the original right decorate trim on air-conditioner button control part.
22. After the installation of the LEFT & RIGHT decorate trims.
23. Connect the Right ribbon Cable and make sure a good connection
24. Connect the left ribbon Cable and make sure a good connection
25. After the installation of the air-conditioner control parts
26. Tighten the original brackets on both sides &right) as shown
27. Put the unit into the cabin and connect all the cables.
28. Tighten the screws as shown
29. Tighten all the screws as shown
30. Tighten all the screws as shown
31. Plug harness for air-conditioner outlet part and re assemble it
32. Reassemble the dash at the driver's side
33. Reassemble the dash at the passenger's side
34. Plug all the harness of the decorate trim of gearbox
35. Reassemble the decorate trim
