Wind Up: Smallest Road-legal Car in the World

Wind Up is the smallest roadworthy car in the world. It is just about the size of a home washing machine. And it is the smallest road legal car in the world. It is officially recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the smallest roadworthy car in the world. The Wind Up was invented and produced by the British inventor Perry Watkins.

The body of the car was constructed out of an old Postman Pat coin-in-the slot children's ride. It took 7 months to build such a mini car and was finished on 8th May, 2009. The car conforms with all construction and use regulations and has all the usual car features such lights, indicators, brake lights, washers, wipers, etc.

The smallest car in the world measures only 41 inches in height, 51 inches in length and 26 inches in width. However, this mini car can run on a top speed of 40 mph and its fuel consumption rate is 70 mpg. The Wind Up mini car features seat belts and has a few flames licking the side of the car. It has missile tips next to the number plates and a bullet-shaped rear-view mirror.
