Pune: Tata Motors recently organised Tata Indica eV2 'Mileage Marathon' for all new Tata Indica eV2 in Pune.
The event was held at Sentossa Resort on Mumbai-Bangalore bypass near Hinjewadi. Customers across the city were invited to participate in a 50-60 km drive to test the 25 kmpl mileage of the car. Around 80 cars participated in the rally.
The event was flagged off by well-known Marathi actress Sonali Kulkarni. Shashank Mulye, car product manager West-1, Tata Motors; territory sales managers Vijay Sonparote and Vinod Gawai along with Mukund Kulkarni, general manager (sales), Pandit Automotive; were also present.
The newly-launched Tata Indica eV2 is the most fuel-efficient car in India with a mileage of 25 kmpl, certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (Arai) for the CR4 diesel engine.
Nachiketas Bhatkar (56.92 km per litre) stood first, followed by Santosh Kunjir (51.42 kmpl) and Saifan Mulk Chowdhary (51.11 kmpl).
Tata Motors had identified a pre-defined circuit, covering the city and highway drive. Fuel consumed during the test drive was measured on full tank basis and the top three were selected on the basis of best mileage obtained.
