Budget Babe | Fall Trends for less at Marshalls

When you think of discount retailers like Marshalls or T.J. Maxx what comes to mind? If you're thinking cheap, past season, or even damaged clothing you're not unlike most shoppers out there. What you don't know is that stores like Marshalls and T.J. Maxx actually carry some of the trendiest looks on the market, at 60% less than department and specialty stores. Plus they get new merchandise in every week, unlike department stores like Macy's and Nordstrom which only receive new shipments seasonally.

Although I don't frequent off-price retailers as often as I should, I don't write them off my list of shopping destinations. In fact, when you're on a tight budget, these are the best places to shop if you want to update your wardrobe for a fraction of what you would spend at the mall.

Still don't think a visit is worth your time? I went trend spotting at the new Marshalls located in Coral Gables' Miracle Market Place last week and found some of this season's must-have looks lining the racks.

Military
Military Style Skinny Cargo Pants - $10, Marshalls
There's no doubt that a pair of military style, slim cargo pants are a must for your fall wardrobe. Army green is the new black this season. Get the look at Marshalls for only $10- a steal!

Leopard & Lace

Leopard print dress - $19, Marshalls
A classic print is all the rage this season. This little black and white dress features 2 hot fall trends in 1- leopard print and lace! Spice up your date night dress collection with this sassy look for under $20 at Marshalls.

Faux Fur
Faux Fur Vest - $29.99, Marshalls
Rachel Zoe made it her uniform and now fur vests are everywhere! This look can be tricky to pull off in South Florida but you can still rock it if done right. Try it with skinny jeans, a white tank, platform booties and layered bangles for a boho chic look. Even if faux-fur becomes a faux-pas tomorrow, at only $29 your pocket won't feel the burn.

Designer Deals
MICHAEL Michael Kors Tank - $20, Marshalls
Another great reason to love off-price retailers? Deep discounts on the designer labels you love. I came across this MICHAEL Michael Kors Shredded Tank that was marked down from $59 to $20. That's over 50% off!

Thanks to the lovely people from TJX (Parent company of Marshalls/T.J. Maxx) for the gift card they sent me. I managed to get some great pieces to mix into my fall wardrobe, and have officially regained my status as a frugal fashionista
