No Better World Than The Otherworld

Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series brings a fresh take on werewolves. But the series doesn’t just concentrate on werewolves. The main characters of several of the books in the series are witches, demons, necromancers, etc. However the most popular protagonist is Elena Michaels, a werewolf. She stars in the first book of the series, Bitten, as well as the latest release, Frostbitten.

The great thing about Elena is that she is a tortured soul who has found a way to redeem herself despite the setback of being bitten by Clay, her (on again, off again) werewolf boyfriend.

What I love about Clay is that he truly loves Elena but can’t seem to stop hurting / annoying / putting her in danger.

As the reader, I couldn’t decide who to cheer for more: Elena or Clay. I know they belong together. I just didn’t know if it was possible - with Elena’s past and Clay’s present behavior - for them to be together.

There isn’t a book in this series that I don’t love. KA’s books have relatable (if sometimes not-so-likeable) characters, beautiful physical and emotional descriptions, and interesting plots/themes.
