Removing a brake disc from the Lexus ES 300 is a job that you can complete in about a half hour. The brake disc, also known as a rotor, is part of the vehicle's safety system and can wear out from usage or dirt getting between the disc and the brake pads. When this happens, it can create grooves in the disc and uneven braking conditions, in which case the rotor needs to be repaired right away. You can remove the brake disc yourself, saving you time and money.

Park the Lexus ES 300 on a level surface, set the parking brake and place a wood block behind one of the rear tires to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2Loosen the lug nuts one full turn with a tire tool on the tire you will be removing. Lift the vehicle with a floor jack and place a jack stand under the axle next to the tire.
3Lower the vehicle so it is resting on the jack stand then move the floor jack out of the way. Remove the tire by taking the lug nuts off with the tire tool then set the tire out of the way.
4Remove the E-clip on the pin at the bottom of the brake caliper with a screwdriver then locate the bolts that secure the brake caliper to the brake disc. Loosen the bolts with a socket wrench until you can slide the bolts out of the caliper.
5Slide the brake caliper off of the brake disc and take the brake pads out of the caliper. Suspend the brake caliper from the vehicle's frame with a wire hanger to keep it out of the way.
6Move the brake disc back and forth gently until you can remove it from the wheel hub of the Lexus ES 300.
