LAUNCH: TWO NEW HD PROJECTORS LAUNCHED BY EPSON
Epson has launched the EH-TW3000 and EH-TW4000, two Full High Definition 1080p projectors with a contrast ratio of up to 75,000:1. According to a press release, the projectors feature 3LCD technology, as well Epson's new D7 C²Fine panels, DeepBlack technology and an improved E-TORL lamp that will combine to minimize light leakage and ensure sharp and precise projection.

LAUNCH: TRANSCEND INTRODUCES 192 GB HIGH SPEED 2.5 INCH SSD IN INDIA
Transcend has released a 192GB high speed 2.5-inch Solid State Drive (SSD) in India. This SSD is made of NAND flash memory that contains no moving parts, and therefore is not susceptible to mechanical failure resulting from vibration, shock or heat. According to a press release, the SSD can deliver read/write speeds of up to 150MB /90MB per second and features integrated ECC (Error Correction Code), as well as built-in wear leveling technology for long storage lifespan.

DELL LAUNCHES ITS FIRST RUGGED TOUCH-SCREEN LAPTOP
Dell was expected to launch the tough Latitude E6400 XFR laptop with a touch screen today which the company claims can withstand drops, dust and high-pressure water sprays. The rugged laptop was designed according to U.S. military specifications and is being targeted at users such as military personnel and first responders. The laptop can withstand rain and wind gusts of up 70 miles per hour, and can work in temperatures from -20 ºF (-33.88 º C) to 145 º F (63 º C), the company claims. It can also work for an hour at an altitude of 15,000 feet.

SEAGATE, AMD SHOWCASE SUPER FAST SATA DRIVE
As the year marches on, work proceeds apace on the next big step in the Serial ATA specification. Also called SATA Revision (or just Rev) 3 or SATA 6Gbps, the updated specification was finalized late last year. This week at the FOSE '09 government tech show in New Orleans, Seagate will become the first hard drive manufacturer to publicly demonstrate a SATA 6Gbps hard drive. Seagate's technology demo is in partnership with AMD, which has supplied the necessary chipsets to achieve the third-generation SATA interface's fast speeds.

FACEBOOK MORE POPULAR THAN EMAIL
Social networks such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are more popular than email with Web users, says Nielsen Online. A report by the research company revealed that two thirds of surfers use 'Member Communities', the category name it gives social networks and blogs. Nielsen Online also revealed Member Communities are the fourth most popular online category, being beaten by search, portals and PC software.
