Design Deutschland is a series of exhibitions organised by the German Design Council, each of which presents, in different contexts, a thematic selection on the current state and history of German design.’ A Snapshot of current Designs on the one hand - icons of the German Design of Modernity on the other hand: the venture to show both together coins the first special exhibition in the context of the new presentation of the Design by the Neue Sammlung Munich. From the Graphic and Interior Design up to the Design of industrial products lasts the spectrum of this thematically arranged cross section of drafts of German designers and enterprises. As topics terms were selected such as material, position, function, system and tool, which were coining for the development of the German Design and possess to today their validity.
