Tata motors launches the New Tata safari

Tata motors has given the safari a new lease of life,age was fast catching up with the safari and it was reflected in the sales figure where numbers where declining steadily.

For the exteriors the new safari sports a different grill,slightly altered spare wheel cover at the rear and now comes with 16" tubeless tyres[235/70 R 16, 105 S],new alloy wheels[6.5 J 16].The engine is a 2.2L16 Valve DOHC VTT Dicor[Variable Turbine Technology,32 Bit Electronically Controlled,Direct Injection Common Rail engine]. Max power -> 140 (PS) @ 4000(rpm),Max torque -> 320(Nm) @ 1700-2700(rpm).

Two tone beige interiors,A brand new instrument cluster with sporty dials, door pads and a neat centre console are the changes in the inside.Additionally warranty on the new safari has changed to 2years/75,000kms.

The 2.2L safari price range begins from Rs 7,22,639 and goes all the way upto Rs 1116338 for the top version[Prices ex-showroom Pune].

The safari is also available with a TCIC engine[diesel LX trim] and also a petrol engine[EXi trim].Though not much is expected in terms of sales in these configurations.
