Tata Motors is now gearing up to launch its next generation 407 and 709 model that is part of its existing light commercial vehicle (LCV) range.
According to industry sources, the new models would be introduced by 2008-end, however, P.M. Telang, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), Tata Motors, said that the company would not like to comment on future product line.
Currently, component manufacturers are getting geared for the new launch with certain components being developed specifically for the respective models, said industry sources. According to experts, the new models are likely to be equipped with latest diesel engines.
Would we see the common rail engines in the tata LCV's,hopefully yes.
