We got 2 Tolomeo mini lamps for our bedside. We used the buy one get the other 1/2 off offer they had 'til january 31st. That was a good deal. Artemide shipped for free and it only took 5 or 6 days. We went with the Mini instead of the micro because of the switch placement. The mini has the switch on the head assembly, making easier to turn on and off while sitting/resting on the bed.
The micro has an inline switch on the power cable, so you have to reach for the cord, pull, locate and turn on/off. Very annoying. Packaging is very impressive and the base is heavy as hell! Quality is beyond what you can expect. The only "problem" was the amount of stickers (with the warning labels/maximum wattage/artemide/inspected by) that this thing has. I spent 1 hour clearing the 2 lamps of stickers and cleaning the glue residue. 
The contrast between the non glossy parts with the high polished arms and base makes this an spectacular piece. The Tolomeo set compliment in a very nice way the Modern Fan Co "Cirrus hugger" aluminum fan we got from YLightning. It gives a spot ligh but also, due to the opening on the back of the reflector, the lapm also provide some level of ambiance illumination. I want to buy a micro for my computer desk soon. That will complete my Tolomeo fetish.
