With Eero Aarnio's imagination, there are absolutely no limits; Tipi is clearly a wonderful example of this! Drawing upon the zoomorphic precedents of his Pony Chair, Mr. Aarnio has created an abstracted bird which is so adorable in person, it will become like a giant pet (as you can see in the adjacent photo, Mr. Aarnio actually has a leash on one of them!). Tipi is destined to be the focal point of any room in which it is placed (and likely to upstage anything else in the room :) Tipi features metal construction with a molded foam body upholstered in the beautiful solid colors of the Danish Tonus 2000 textile. Perfect for a kid, yes; although, more importantly, as with so many of Mr. Aarnio's designs... part of the function of this piece is simply to convey a sense of fun and put a smile on your face every time you use or see it.
