As a contemporary furniture maker, Richard has been producing finely made furniture, both freestanding and fitted to individual commissions both in the UK and abroad since 1990.The term contemporary furniture maker distinguishes the work that Richard and his team produce from mass-manufactured furniture. All pieces are designed to the clients' particular requirements and made at his own workshop in Amersham.
The most prestigious award presented to contemporary furniture makers is the 'Guildmark', awarded to individual pieces by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. Richard and his team have been proud that our work has achieved eight of these awards, to add to many other prizes and acknowledgements.
