One Step Closer to Winix...

For those of us who live in the Microsoft Windows World (come on, you know the one that Steve Jobs likes to hint at in every presentation), the lure and promise of Unix is strong. However, we're seldom ready to give up our MS fix (you know the old adage, "Better the devil that reboots than the one you don't know how to compile").

Anyway, Leo Laporte recently shared a new tool that's bound to replace Cygwin on at least a few desktops: Unix Kit for Windows is a free unix command system for windows that runs off a USB key and requires no installation. Click here to check it out, and thanks, Leo. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I'll report back when I get one.
